Academy of Media Arts Cologne

The Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) is a renowned state university founded in 1990. Its only study program “Media and Fine Arts” is offered as a nine-semester undergraduate degree and a four-semester postgraduate degree and is comparable to a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in an international context.

In Cologne, studios, labs, and workshops offer an inspiring environment for the individual artistic development of around 400 students. The interdisciplinary, project-oriented curriculum allows students to freely choose and combine artistic specializations, such as multispecies storytelling, experimental and expanded games, experimental film, animation, installation, queer theory, and more.
